NB02: Tam Coc - Ox-Cart - Bich Dong Pagoda - Hoa Lu

Tam Coc is known to travelers as Viet Nam`s Ha Long Bay without water; Ha Long Bay on the rice paddies

Cycle on the backroads Ox-cart to Bich Dong (Optional)

Bich Dong is the most second beautiful pagoda of Viet Nam, after Perfume Pagoda. It is a couple of kilometres north of Tam Coc.

Bich Dong Pagoda Temple of King Dinh in Hoa Lu

Hoa Lu has an interesting historical twist. Hoa Lu was the first capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le. Atmosphere in the temple is evocative of the heyday of the royal citadel with palaces; pavilions and temples which existed thousand of years ago.

8h30: Leave Ninh Binh city and cycle to Tam Coc by bicycle
9h00: Take a boat trip along the Ngo Dong River to admire a great scenery of Tam Coc;
11h00: Finish the boat trip and then take 2km-Ox-Cart to Bich Dong
11h30: Visit Bich Dong pagoda which was considered as the second most beautiful grotto in Vietnam in the 17th Century
12h30: Cycle back to Tam Coc for lunch
13h00: Have lunch at a good restaurant
14h10: Continue riding on bycycle to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
15h00: Visit Hoa Lu with two temples "Dinh & Le" dynasties;
15h40: Hike up 200-step to the King`s tomb at the top of Ma Yen mauntain to see great views
16h30: Cycle back Ninh Binh city at about 17h00 and the tour finishes.
